Protein detail:

Protein name Nucleocapsid Protein
Uniprot protein ID P59595
Protein length 422 amino acids
Protein description The N- protein is an RNA-binding protein with many functions. Structurally, the N protein has three domains, N- terminal domain that binds the RNA, C- terminal domain responsible for dimerization, and a disordered central region rich in serine and arginine (SR).The functions of N protein include the formation of the helical viral RNA with its nucleoproteins, regulation of the viral replication and transcription, and modulation of the host cells metabolism to facilitate the replication, transport, release of the virus, and to help the virus escape the immune system of the host organism.
